You dont have to be crazy, you have to be carefull, any program of that
sort is a security risk, if you read the manual for routed you will see how
someone can get into your system just by watching your traffic.

If you want to use a .rhosts file then why not use ssh, its 90% safer than
what you are doing. Anyway its your network, you do what you want, i and
the documentation have warned you.
