Well ... I don't recall your ealrlier post, but here is what I think is
going on.
You say you have 3 CD-ROM devices. Based on what you say about them, they
have these locations
IDE primary slave DVD-ROM /dev/hdb
IDE secondary master 32x CD-ROM /dev/hdc
IDE secondary slave CD r/w /dev/hdd
Probably you only see one of these because only one of them is mounted as
part of your filesystem. If you look in /etc/fstab, you will probably find a
line that mounts /dev/hdb on /mnt/cdrom . To use the other two drives (at
least to use them as readers - I don't do CD r/w here) you need to mount
them as well. Here's how.
As root, enter these commands ...
mkdir /mnt/cdrw
mkdir /mnt/cdrom2
mount /dev/hdc cdrom2
mount /dev/hdd cdrw
(The mounts will work only if you have CDs with readable filesystems in the
drives. Depending on your setup, you may need to include the flag "-t iso9660".)
To automount these drives, add lines to /etc/fstab for them; follow the
pattern of the one already there for hdb.
I don't know about the icons -- that will be a KDE-specific thing,a nd I
don't run KDE.
