Hello Darryl,

You need to modify the /etc/fstab file. The entry for that
particular drive/partition needs to have the "user" arguement
supplied to allow anyone to mount, read, or write to the 
drive/partition.

My entry looks like this;

/dev/hda1       /mnt/win    vfat   defaults,user        1       2
