OK, so now I'm responding to my OWN posts...
I found a great resource (linked from RedHat Solutions DB article on email
configuration) called the MailHelp FAQ & HOWTO.  Check it out at:

Everything you always wanted to know about configuring MTA's (sendmail,
postfix, etc.).
