OK you gurus out there, I have a problem compiling. Here is a brief
history. RH6.1. I am trying to install MySQL, and realized I didn't
have gcc installed. I couldn't find anything on the 6.1 disk so I used
the RPMs from the 5.2 disk to get gcc installed. Then I tried to run
the configurator file for MySQL again and it told me that I didn't have
c++ installed. I found those RPMs and libraries and installed them. I
ran the configurator file again. It did alot of checking but died again
and now I am getting this error.
checking for termcap functions library... configure: error: No
curses/termcap library found
This is the first time I have compiled anything and I cannot get past
this step. What do I not have installed that I need. I looked for info
on termcap, but just found some stuff on a termcap file in the /etc (I
think) directory.
