I have a 3.2 Gb HD, divided in two partitions, both M$Doze6/fat16/win3.1: a
2Gb partition, and a 1.2Gb partition. That was because I wanted to use all
of the disk, so I had to create a second partition (since Dos can't
recognize anything beyond 2Gb...).
How can I install Linux in this second partition (it is empty), using Disk
Druid, fips or fdisk? Do I need to delete the partition with fdisk/dos in
advance? What should I use to partition (Partition Magic is not an option)
the HD into a ext2 partition?
I can't lose any data on the first partition (c: in dos). It is a computer
we have in the office (a government office), so I would like to know the
safest method of partitioning a HD with data already on it.
I already have Linux in my home computer, and I love it - that is the
reason I would like to introduce Linux to my colleagues. There is also a
law being discussed, that would require government offices to use only
free/open source software, saving enourmous amounts of money. So we would
be prepared.
Please help a Linux lover to "spread the word" to the "unfaithful"...
