Hello,

How do I adjust the default number of lines per page for printing to my
Epson Stylus Color 800 printer? I am running SuSE Linux 6.3 with kernel
2.2.14, and I used apsfilter to set up my /etc/printcap. I have gone
through the Printing How-To and the Printing-Usage-How-To, as well as the
a2ps and gs manpages, but I have not yet found the answer. Perhaps I
have overlooked it, or I have not hit the right man page yet.

I did try to adjust /etc/printcap by adding in "pl=64" to the options,
but that did not work. This happens no matter if I print using lpr
-Pascii, lpr -Praw , or one of the other printer setup I have such as lpr
-Plp9, which prints in color in a higher quality mode.

Could someone give me a hint here? Where else should I look for the
answer, or have I missed it in something I have already read?

Cheers,
Sean
