Howdy all,
First, I appologize, since I'm pretty sure this question was already
addressed...but it wasn't a problem at the time so I ignored it. Onto the
problem :
I seem to be unable to log ANY user into my RH 6.0 machine remotely via
telnet. Even newly created users! BUT, I am able to log these same users
in via FTP. I am able to log in as root at the console. I am also able to
log a user in via the console...just not telnet.
Why is this happening and how can I fix it?
And, on a related note. I have noticed that some things that I can run when
I'm logged into the console as root, I cannot run when I am connected as a
user who su's to root (eg traceroute, and any number of other apps).
(Obviously, this was an issue before my current telnet login problems.)
