Yea. But it seems to me that it has a problem with messages
it didn't "see" before that purging.

It doesn't take for ever. It hangs. As I said I have a lot
of mail folders. Most of the time messages are sort according to
list. But this is irrelevant. I have one mail folder that keeps
urgent messages (not urgent like that priority flag). I want to keep
that folder as clean as possible. Because there are urgent messages.
There are days (quite a lot lately) when I don't have time for mail.
But I still check that urgent folder. There go only a few messages.
And after reply, I move them to another folder. After saving to
another folder the aleady replied mail, I purge this folder, in order
to keep (just in case) every message on screen.
So it is about a small folder. And a pretty fast proc (K6/2).
There shouldn't be delay. And there isn't. Normally. If there is no
"unlisted" mail.
I know what you mean by purging at quitting time. Actually
you are wrong at this point. Because a folder is purged (or at least
you are asked to wheter to purge it or not) at closing time. Pine
closes a folder when you enter another as well. Still... if I do
something like that instant messaging... I get with 20 very small
messages. They are like below 1k for example. But they start to fill
up the screen. So I purge the folder. Eh. Here is the problem. If
I had the bad luck of one "unlisted" mail I will have to log on at
another console and kill pine. After that everything is fine. And
the messages marked for deletion are purged. This doesn't happen if I
kill pine when some mails are marked but I don't hit ^X.
So hmm... I pinpointed the problem. It does the purging. But
than it stops if the older message list isn't the same with the newer
minus the purged messages.
