If your sendmail is running then your system is ok right.?

The chances are your isp has a mailsever on another machine which is
invisable to you.
My isp is zeelandnet.nl, my account is on people.zeelanent.nl the mail sever
is mail.zeelandnet.nl, now just what is the problem if your sendmail is
running ??

If sendmail runs ok, find out with
ps ax | grep -v grep | grep sendmail

If you get something like;
12471 ?        S      0:00 sendmail: accepting connections on port 25

Then there is not so much wrong if anything on your system.
I dont think sendmail will start without /etc/sendmail.cf anyway so it must
be there on your system.

What about 'man sendmail'
