While trying to send mail via Pine ( it's 4.10 ) , i noticed several errors
on my machine.

1. sendmail is not listening on port 25.
It shows error ( red colour "failed" ) message on display during boot-up.
When i ps -ax, i don't see the message that sendmail is listening.
When i activate sendmail ( by "sendmail restart" ), error messages says :
* No local mailer defined
* QueueDirectory (0) option must be set.

How should i fixed this ?
This started happening ( i think ) after the last time i use the command :
sendmail -bd -q5m

2. Everytime i opened Pine, a message shows :
<not allowed to change header From: >
Is this normal ?

3. everytime i tried to send mail after composing with pine ( the "^X"
command in Pine 4.10 ),
it says :
Error sending : connection failed to [127.0.0.1], 25, connection refused

4. everytime i tried to open mail with pine, it says :
Connection failed to [127.0.0.1], 143, connection refused

What's wrong ?

Many thanks,

frans t.
