Hello
Using redhat Linux 6.2
I connect the Linux server to the Internet using a Dial-UP
I have NAT enabled on the Linux Server.
On the client Side which is a Win95 PC the following changes are made in the
network settings.
In TCP/IP properties i am using a gateway & the Gateway Address is the IP
Address
of the Linux Server.
DNS is enabled & i have given the IP address of my Local ISP.
After doing this Pinging any Site directly from the w/s works fine
I tried manually ftp'ing to different sites. While it accepts anonymous
login, and
CD commands work, the moment I say dir or ls, it gives 'Can't build data
connection:
Connection refused' error. I'm not able to 'get' or 'mget' any files too.
But if i directly do an FTP to a remote site from the linux server
everything works fine.
What could be the problem ? Do i need to make any other configuration
changes.
Regards
