You don't "run" the module; you install (insmod) it.
As to the Windows client, I think you covered all the needed setting changes
in your prior message ... but this is a Linux list, not a Windows list, so
you'll understand if I say that my expertise with Windows is a bit limited.
Why not try it, and if it doesn't work right, describe the problem?
