Hello, guys!
I am absolutely new to Linux. Actually I have just installed Linux Red
Hat 5.2 and read only the Installation guide and serial-HOWTO. Not
much. So, due to the lack of knowledge I am experiencing some certain
problems with setting up my modem.
By the way, I don't have any docummentation to the modem either.
Windows 95 allocates it as MF3850-U(A) Modem (AZT 4030) and sets it on
COM3, interrupt 9, port 3E8, UART: NS 16550AN.
Tough situation. The only thing I have managed to do is to run
setserial /dev/ttyS2 uart 16550A irq 9 port 0x3E8
The modem still doesn't seem to be working.
What else can I do and what other programs are there to set up modems?
Even if you cannot help me, please, give me the documentations where I
can possibly find the answers.
