If this is a serious comment, then it is in error. While the packaging
system of Slackware is a bit more primitive than, say, .rpm or .deb, it is a
real packaging system that allows for quite a bit of system customization. I
used it happily and productively for many years, before I switched over to
Debian.

Perhaps you are thinking of Zipslack or Bigslack, which are more in the
style of a single, big file that gets installed all at once.
