Hi,

I mailed this list a while ago asking if there is any way in which I can
set the machine up so that it restarts again after a power failure, and
on checking my BIOS settings, I found that I could not do it.

Today, the machine went down about 3 hrs ago and is online again now.
uptime shows me 58 mins. There cannot have been any physical access to
the machine, as it is locked inside the lab and only I can go in. So, the
other way is to have had a shutdown -r issued.

How must check if there has been access to my machine, and from where it
came?

Also, on pin-ging the machine, I get a 12% packet loss. What does this
mean?

Thanks,
-Karthik.
