I plan to check out the Gimp for bitmap work, although I 
like CorelPhotoPaint. There's a port of the Gimp to OS/2 
that I downloaded awhile ago ... Downloading the 
CorelPhotoPaint .gz file right now.

FWIW, I have the full version of CorelLinux - cost $39, 
includes the full version of WP Suite 8. Also have 
OpenLinux and some other release of Linux. Haven't 
installed any of them, yet, since I'm still building a 
box to put them on. Once that box can take over the 
household file server duties, then my box can be changed 
around without complaints about household downtime!!
