Oh fantastic, that worked! It was already set to DHCP but the IP and gateway were all listed as 0.0.0.0. I tried switching it to a static IP and set the netmask and gateway, but it didn't work immediately. (No response to pings.) I poked around a bit more (noticed the static ARP entry was still there from my experiments with the laptop) and tried again a minute or so later and it started responding to pings! I'm now able to SSH into it and run commands. Brilliant! So it looks like it was an issue with DHCP in the end - either the DRAC not requesting an IP or our DHCP server was not responding on that subnet (which is possible, given it's a server-only subnet.) Many thanks for all your help and suggestions! Cheers, Adam. _______________________________________________ Linux-PowerEdge mailing list [email protected] https://lists.us.dell.com/mailman/listinfo/linux-poweredge Please read the FAQ at http://lists.us.dell.com/faq
