Thought I'd pass along this note from my Dell rep indicating that yum is now an officially supported method for firmware updates, contrary to the indication on this list in November.

In November the firmware repository was unofficial support only. Now as part of the Q$ block release it is officially supported. We are firmly committed to the YUM repo. It seems vastly easier than any other method for managing large numbers of servers. I'm also unclear why the email list gets so little official attention in general-especially when I am being directed there by official support channels after discovering a bug in the latest version of OMSA. If the answer to problems is on the list, it's probably in the first page of google results, which saves me the time of calling support, and you the time of paying for a support tech. Let me know, Ryan
