Dear Jeff,
First, tnx for your reaction.
please don't take offense, but..
If you read well, you could read I did not modify any script.
What I did was while the bin file was waiting for input ("q") I copied
the tmp folder to other location.
then went to look for the rom-file.then went on to upgradeprocedure as is with an lsi raid controler of the megaraid, assuming that the dell-rom file is correct. Then: all output as I experienced is nicely in the postings. If you want more for debugging, ask for it. My firm is actually my firm. My customers would not be pleased although. That's why I used the original files, asked others and found a solution. or actually the reason. Further.. If there would not be a accurate backup available, I would not perform these kind of updates. ;-) If you wish I can make you a procedure howto reproduce this behaviour of the dell update.
