Absolutely, this is properly unacceptable from a global technology company the scale of Dell. Due to all the issues that have been reported on this very mailing list for the last year at least, we'll be uninstalling DSU and OMSA from all our production systems starting today. We can't risk system-wide breakages to happen unexpectedly like this. And given the non-existence of QA and basic testing of those tools, Dell could as well stop "developing" them, it's a waste of time and resources for everyone. The level of quality of those tools has dropped to a shameful level, especially considering that Dell was one of the first tier-1 server vendors to provide Linux management tools back in 2004, and that DKMS, devlabel or efibootmgr all started there.
