Hi list, I can't find a decent answer on the net, so I'm trying here: On a R510 equipped with a PERC H700 and 12x3.5" HDD (external), I have a faulty _internal_ 2.5" HDD (Slot Number: 12). The faulty HDD is a: FUJITSU MBD2300RC (2.5" 300GB 10k SAS 6Gb/s)
I know that those internal hard-drive are not hot swappable, so before doing something stupid and causing unnecessary downtime, can you please tell me if the following drive (bought from dell) is compatible: Seagate ST300MM0008 (2.5" 300GB 10k SAS 12Gb/s) The drive was meant as a hot-spare replacement for an _external_ HDD (it cames fixed in a caddy/trail) and not for this particular server as Dell don't sell anymore the particular model I need :( Thank you very much if you have a definitive answer (my RAID1 is degraded for 10 days now, I feel the anxiety rising) kfx _______________________________________________ Linux-PowerEdge mailing list [email protected] https://lists.us.dell.com/mailman/listinfo/linux-poweredge
