I'm sure this goes without saying; nevertheless,  make sure you don't remove 
the wrong drive. Lol!

The R510 can hold at least 14 SAS drives (12 external + 2 internal) - before 
spilling over to external cage(s) / shelf(s).
You also might want to check disk & HBA firmware version(s) - after things 
stabilize.

backward compatible with 6Gb/s SAS like SATA II and III).
The hot swap capabilities for physical not hot-swapable drive personally I 
don't care about it !
On R510 you need to unplug the disk server off and plug back the new drive when 
server run to make rebuild star automatically.
