scratch that. I think we have a local problem. Sorry for the noise!

We are already carrying BIOS version 2.4.3 in our latest DSU repository.
Please check here: https://linux.dell.com/repo/hardware/dsu/os_independent/noarch/ (BIOS_WDY2P_LN_2.4.3-2.4.3-18.03.00.noarch.rpm)

and this exists in our local copy of the repo too but it was not installed when running dsu...

[qqs43472@cs04r-sc-vserv-72 dell_dsu]$ ls -l dsu
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root apache 13 Mar 14 17:15 dsu -> DSU_18.03.00/
[qqs43472@cs04r-sc-vserv-72 dell_dsu]$ ls -l dsu/os_independent/noarch/BIOS_WDY2P_LN_2.4.3-2.4.3-18.03.00.noarch.rpm -rwxr-xr-x 1 root apache 16064413 Mar  9 09:50 dsu/os_independent/noarch/BIOS_WDY2P_LN_2.4.3-2.4.3-18.03.00.noarch.rpm

we are having to manually install the newer bios (with spectre mitigation) on 12G, 13G and 14G PowerEdge.

Just updated a R330 with dsu:

PowerEdge R330/R230/T330/T130 BIOS; PowerEdge OEMR XL R330/OEMR XL R230 BIOS

The version of this Update Package is newer than the currently installed version.
Software application name: BIOS
Package version: 2.3.2
Installed version: 2.0.8

version 2.3.2 was released in November I think. The side channel mitigations are in version 2.4.3 released in February of this year.

really??

Please note that if you're keeping systems secure by applying the
latest bios patch BIOS_78R68_LN_2.7.0.BIN for Intel processors.

Running dsu overwrites that by installing version 2.6 of the bios back

Anyone else wish dsu really worked ??
