I am unclear as to which multilink software I should be using with ppp and
ipx or if I am doing somthing wrong the configuration. I have redhat and
ppp2.2.0 which I set up to use with ipx and it worked ok.
I have attempted to add the "eql" software, described in the redhat
"Documentation" directory, which I found on sunsite to add more bandwith.
I made my eql device (ifconfig eql x.x.x.x etc) and the eql device was
present.
After replacing a missing library (/lib/libc.so.4.2.27) I attempted
"eql_enslave eql ppp0 38400". It didn't complain but I could not ping the
eql device and after a while eql_enslave timed out with a bad connection.
(I have just downloaded the 2.3.3 ppp source from
ftp://cs.anu.edu.au/pub/software/ppp/
and am preparing to compile and use that.)
My questions
Am I using the correct load balancing software (it's what the kernel
documentation says it should be)?
Or does ppp2.3.3 _include_ the facility to manage load balanced links?
Am I doing somthing obviously wrong?
