Hi, I tried eql on and off for a few weeks with no success, apparently
it needs to be supported on the ISP server as well. 

Give a look at http://www.spellcast.com/ they have Babylon for Linux and
I believe you can link up to 3 modems on the free version. Let me know
it it works!
