Hi,

I'm sorry if this is documented anywhere else, I didn't see
it anywhere though.
First, every time I try to start a ppp connection it won't
dial because it says my serial device is looped back. It wasn't
doing that before last night and I'm not sure why it is now. I
didn't change any of the serial or modem settings. I changed
a couple options to pppd (ipcp-accept-local/remote) but it
worked one or two times before it got stuck into loopback.
My modem also works fine when I use minicom.
My other question: Anyone know where I could find out
more information about the pppd exit numbers. To badly imitate
the log:

        pppd: Terminating on signal #

Number 2 keeps coming up. I've got 15 once but I think
that was because I hit CTRL-C. Before I added the
ipcp-accept-local/remote options to pppd I would get LCP and ICPC
timeout errors then terminating on signal 2. After the change, it would
just say terminating on signal 2. The next time I ran it, the serial
device was in loopback (see above).
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

                                        Ross
