For a different opinion ...
I'm quite happy with the list.
Not every question I've posted has been answered, but I'm aware
that subscribers here are busy people, and I'm grateful for
the help which may be forthcoming.
This list is not a paid support service, and so there's no reason
to be annoyed if some of my questions are not answered.
Aside: based on experience with paid support, a good
answer is more likely here, anyway!
If no help is forthcoming, I chaulk it up to nobody listening.
Sometimes I'll try a second post. Generally I've been working on
the difficulty in the meantime, and so the second post will
contain more information or a different perspective, which may
elicit a response from somebody who would not have bothered with
the earlier post.
In the interest of clear communication, I try to use reasonable
spelling, grammar, and punctuation, or as close to those as I
can manage. I try to state clearly but briefly the signs and
symptoms observed, and to include all information that might
reasonably pertain.
This approach has worked very well for me on this list, and on
every one of a dozen or so other lists I'm privileged participate
in.
