First of all ...
Thanks people for all the replies , now if half the energy/bandwidth was used
for constructive discussion instead of answering unrelated topics that get
attention such that I am now guilty of , we may find a few more answers , and
a little less email in our folders.
Any ways for all the constructive comments thanks ...
What's a good way of avoiding the annoying spam ?

That dose not work for messages coming from programs like Shutdown which has
its own version of wall compiled into it and runs as super user any ways ,
overriding the
command mesg n .
If your now questioning why would you care if your shutting down well in my
case a shutdown may not mean as such its can be just the message that system
will shut down in 5 hrs if power has not been restored .
This causes pppd to go mental with unexpected protocol errors.
Oh , hmmm Im not sure how you intended the " see man wall " to be taken but i
do extensive research on problems before posting questions , including first
reading man pages .

If I had any Idea what that means , maybe the question was too hard to answer
and your trying to establish how great you are , which is something that
really doesn't help
As for what I drive its a Ford farlane Ive always wanted a flashy
multi-megabit but i hear there not very economical or environmentally friendly
:P
Oh silly me im not running 2.0.30 its 2.0.35 well I was close , does the above
still apply ?
Putting Multilink together with patched code for 2.0.35
Has anyone that has used the patches running for Multilink on 2.0.35 located
at <http://www.premier1.net/~nathana/mp-linux/mp-0.5s.tar.gz>.
Its mentioned in the installation to have
Linux Streams (LiS) version dated 04/15/98 [1,2] ?
Has anyone an idea where i can get this or how to check if ive already got it
?
