Not to cause any _more_ confusion on this subject but in hopes of
clarifing it.....

and from reading kmod.txt is do not see that this has changed. So the
above seems to be working when in modules.conf and my setup in conf.modules
works with this.
alias ppp-compress-21 ppp_deflate
alias ppp-compress-24 bsd_comp
alias ppp-compress-26 bsd_comp
Me thinks that the Doc's are somewhat behind the code. Anyway, it
seems that there are choices for getting rid if those pesky error
messages.
