Having some trouble finding the right answer for this questions:
When a user dial into the system I activate AutoPPP. When issuing the
command "w" not the user ID is shown, but "AutoPPP" and utmp does not
contain the user ID either.
I read somewhere, that ppp is not correctly writing to utmp.
Apparently there is supposed to be a patch for this problem.
Can anyone tell me where I can find this patch? And what to do with it?
Or
Is there another solution, that allows me to use AutoPPP as well as PAP
and have the correct user ID showing in utmp?
