Hi,

I've setup a ppp server, however the clients arn't able to connect, I keep
getting this message in my /var/log/messages:

Sep 21 11:14:33 smlserv1 kernel: CSLIP: code copyright 1989 Regents of the University
of California
Sep 21 11:14:33 smlserv1 kernel: PPP: version 2.2.0 (dynamic channel allocation)
Sep 21 11:14:33 smlserv1 kernel: PPP Dynamic channel allocation code copyright 1995
Caldera, Inc.
Sep 21 11:14:33 smlserv1 kernel: PPP line discipline registered.
Sep 21 11:14:33 smlserv1 kernel: registered device ppp0
Sep 21 11:14:33 smlserv1 pppd[400]: peer authentication required but no suitable
secret(s) found
Sep 21 11:14:33 smlserv1 pppd[400]: for authenticating any peer to us
(smlserv1.smlt.com)

What does that mean? I've also setup that pap-secrets in /etc/ppp, I've
made the file owned to root.daemon, and the user root has read and write
access on it. I'm lost.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

Quintin.
