we run pppd 2.3.5 with mgetty doing autoppp I dont know if anyone else
has come across this problem. But everytime out uplink is down our
users can not login using pap/autoppp feature mgetty 'add's? to ppp.. I'm
probably assuming its pppd when mgetty is actually at fault?
If anyone has the same problem or at least knows what is the problem, let
me know I urgently need to fix this problem. Our uplinks too fequently
down, so it makes the flood of problem calls even greater when you have
a few hundred customers trying to log on and getting dialup networking
could not neg. a compat set of protocols. Then the problem stop whe n
our uplink returns.
