Thanks very much for you guys' kind reply on my first question.
Well, this is the second qustion. I exactly did all based on the
"HOWTO-INSTALL-pppd" and you guys' suggestions. However, when I
dial up from my home-computer(with windows-98) to my-office-server-
machine(with RedHat 5.1, pppd-8.9.3), I found no response from
the server-machine in my office. Is it possible that the HARD-connection
leads these problems? I connected a modem(Practical Peripherals PM14400FXMT)
to the server-machine through COM2 ports, and is it wrong? or
any configure-file for pppd-server to define these kind of
HARD-conection? By the way, if I dial up (from my home) to another
commercial unix-server, everything is ok.
