Two things you should try. First, try making the ppp connection manually
using minicom (see PPP-HOWTO) to make sure that your chat script is using
the correct sequence. I see that it fires up PPP immediately after
selecting "Start PPP" on the ISP's menu. Though unlikely, maybe there is
an ISP prompt afterwards?
Also, add 'debug' to you pppd options and check your syslog
(/var/log/messages|debug ?). This will give more information about the
pppd negotiation. You should post an edited version of this output to the
mailing list for more assistance.
