pppd and callback

I have a callback PPP account on a Shiva Lanrover.  It works
very well with the Win95 dial-up networking.  Win95  hangs up
and waits for the Lanrover to call me back.  pppd, on the
other hand, just logs into the Lanrover and stays connected.
How can I fix this problem?
