Hi all!,
This is my first my first message to this list. I'm very excited !
I'm having the same problem that Stojce has. But I'm running an old
Debian. No problem connecting, authenticating, no error messages neither
extrange in the log/messages and ppp.log files.
About pinging: it works fine with IP addresses, but not at all with
domain names. Inmediatelly says domain name unknown, which yield us to a
good example of a wrongly configured DNS. BUT, my resolv.conf follows
exactly the howto description.
domain iies.es
nameserver <ip address1>
nameserver <ip address2>
wait, wait , checking the messages I have stored from this list, I've seen
ligth differences in resolv.conf files, like a line with "search" keyword.
Could be this the reason?
I have the defaultroute option in pppd options file.
Netscape complains about not reachable host, and asks about trying it
later.
Could be something wrong with the kernel route table?
Thank you very much in advance.
Hasta luego
Fernando
