Hi all,
is this correct to upgrade the kernel? (I have the 2.2.6 with Slack 4.0)
1) I have deleted /usr/src/linux
2) I have copied the kernel 2.2.12 in /usr/src/linux
and compiled the new kernel. Rebooting I see these messages:
"can't locate ppp module" and "can't locate cslip module"
I have installed pppd-2.3.10 but I continue to have the same messages
when I reboot.
I connect to the Internet, ping works but not Netscape, and I can't send
and recieve mail.
Some idea how to solve the problem?
