Hi Prakash,
Just ignore the instructions regarding compiling and making in the HowTO.
Most likely ppp is already installed on your machine via the rpm package.
Do an rpm -qa at the prompt and see if ppp-2.3.10 is already installed.
Follow the rest of the HowTo or use Linuxconf to set it up.
If you dont have the ppp rpm package installed you can download the rpm
version and do an rpm -ivh to install.
