Hi....

I have a big problem but i spent already 4 days with it and don't know the
answer.
i have 2 US Courier V.Ev linked by a leased line (actualy a direct cable)
I have a linux (i've tried with rh6 and slack7) configured like this:
inittab:
S0:.... pppd /dev/ttyS0 115200 -detach x.x.x.x: crtscts lock user username
defaultroute netmask 255.255.255.255

an pap-secrets
username * userpasswd *

and an GlassNT with the other Courier.
The linux modem have at&l1 in nvram and NT modem have in the init string
at&l1. (the NT is an ISP server and runing already RRAS and another leased
lines)
The modem negotiate and CD is up.
On the Nt is set up an account named [username] and is working
After negotiating, the linux console shows:
LCP Conf Req timeout
and hung up the modem.

If I put debug option on, the console shows:
LCP: ConfigReq id=0.... <acomp> <pcomp>
and after 9 messaages stop and hung up the modem.

have you any ideeas? please help me. I'm "desperado" !

10x

radix

p.s. sorry about my english
