Since ppp-2.3.9 any local IP address I specify in the <local IP
address>:<remote IP address> option is ignored when the noipdefault option
is also present.  That is, pppd requests that the peer supply pppd's IP
address by using 0.0.0.0 instead of the specified local IP address. 

The man pages still say that you should be able to specify the local IP
address with the noipdefault option present.  Is this now a feature and the
man pages just haven't been updated?  Or, despite a number of checks and
rechecks, is it just me?
