Is it a Winmodem or relative thereof? The manufacturer's of such modems
usually provide software drivers only for Microsoft OSs and don't release
any information that would allow independent development of drivers.
IMNSHO they are crippled products anyway, capable of sopping up a large
percentage of CPU time, all in the name of saving a few dollars.
