take a closer look at the ppp files 
        - watch for all the options...know what it does/means...
        ( do NOT copy the optiosn files from examples -- it might not work 

        - for me.... the order of "CONNECT" string was important.... for caling into 
redhat-6.x ppp servers

use minicom or seyon to verify you can login as a user and a PPPuser
        - if the server dos not answer your minicom calls.... ppp won't work either...
        ( you'd need to fix /etc/inittab and the modem init strings )

than use your kppp or ppp-on  or other ppp scripts
