Hi i've been using redhat (now 6.1) with ppp-on and off scrips for a while
now and have recently upgraded my usr courier to v90. When i tested this
modem on a windoz box after upgrading i get 42000-48000 bps connection
instead of the usual 32000-36000 bps and i hear the 'bong' disctictive v90
noise from the modem. when i use the modem on the linux box i don't get the
noise.. now for my problem.. how do i find out what the initial modem
connect speed was from the modem? ie 42000bps or so? i've checked the logs
and see nothing but the ip address... any ideas?
