You got the IP address for the local machine and the remote dial in server - that's
the last stage in the ppp setup. Unfortunately I have been facing simillar situation
but got no answers for the cause. There is a
problem but I don't think compression is the cause.
Ofcourse if somebody could explain what exactly happens while establishing a ppp
connection it would be great.
