When I do "cvs update" to an anonymous CVS server over my PPP
connection, the PPP connection dies, almost always, both with Linux
2.2.15 and with Linux 2.3.99-pre7.
On at least two occasions there was good evidence of a kernel problem:
there was some kind of crash.
Since I don't have any other problems with my system, I suspect there
might be a bug in the kernel part of PPP.
I have sent a more detailed description of the problem to
