I've had same with two identical SCSI drives. I just calculated which
one gave more space and changed other one to those settings (using
fdisk). Has been working fine since 8/1997.

And then real RAID-issue, it's still running raid 0.36.3 with raidtools
0.42 (kernel 2.0.35). Now I'd like to upgrade to 2.2.x, can I just
--upgrade partitions (of course after tape backup) or do I need to
recreate arrays? I'd like to know real life experiences, not just how it
should work :) It is RAID1.
