Sort of. I contacted the LDP people at metalab.  Some people weren't too happy
about the two versions. The ultimate solution seemed to be, to merge the two
HOWTOs into one huge HOWTO. However since I can't reach Linas, and since I don't
have that kind of time on my hands, that's not likely to happen anytime soon.

I promised the LDP people that I'd get back to them once I'd put in appropriate
remarks in the HOWTO about the existance of the older HOWTO, and after I'd gotten
in touch with Linas to hear his view on this.

These things very quickly become political, and I decided to give it a rest for 
a while.  I'll try to reach Linas a few more times if he doesn't respond to my
mailings, then I'll give LDP another shot, and we'll see what happens.  This will
not happen very soon.

If my HOWTO still lack a clear-enough pointer to the other HOWTO, I'd be happy
