Hi

I've been trying to get linux installed on a N440BX + intel astor
chassis system without any luck. When linux scans the bus I get the following
error (id 6 is the hotswap controller, which is detected as "ESG-SHV SCA
HSBP M5 0.47" by the NCR bios). I've tried most combinations of sync/wide
options in the bios without success and used both ncr53c8xx and sym53c8xx
drivers.

I kludged it to work by hacking scsi.c to ignore device 6 completely when
scanning the bus and after that it behaves perfectly. If there's no better
solution should that device just be blacklisted?

(this is from a scsi add-single-device 0 0 6 0)
