verified w/ the adaptec bios just fine, with the transfer rate @ 80mb too

The bios has "BIOS Multiple LUN Support" off. If I get a system up, I'll try 
this though

turned of initiating negotiations, disconnect, wide negotiations, lowered 
tranfer rate to 40 on all ids - no difference

Still cannot get the MB to recognize my IDE HD. I'm going to have to try 
this drive on a another machine to make sure it's ok (a year old but never 
used).
